I am a paper conservator that volunteers with AAWAA on their archives and assists with operational IT support. My professional interests range from studying papermaking techniques, multispectral imaging, conservation ethics, and community-centered conservation projects. I was first introduced to AAWAA at an art history lecture at Mills College over 10 years ago. While I was figuring out what to do with my life, this was the community that taught me the value of representation, memory, and history through a range of creativity and talent. AAWAA inspired me to think differently about how conservation and cultural preservation needs to connect to people that don't see their histories in education, media, or the Museum.
