Barbara Horiuchi creates pictorial, video and installation work. Her work often addresses geohistorical injustices and wounds experienced in the current and last century relating to immigration, exclusion, marginalization, loss, and resistance. The intersection of the politics of injustice and the personal experiences of her family are the bedrock which inform her work and shape the manner in which it is conceived, constructed and created.

Barbara Horiuchi was born and raised in San Jose, California and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
