Erina Alejo is an artist, researcher, and educator. Alejo builds visual and temporal archives on labor, displacement, and family and communal history, rooting from their identity as a third-generation renter in San Francisco. Their long-term ethnographic and community-based projects, A Hxstory of Renting and SoMapagmahal Photography Mxntorship Program, engage audiences and participants to examine the impact of urban planning on historically underserved communities.
