I’ve witnessed the media landscape change rapidly over the nearly 50 years I’ve been in the business and grateful that I’m still producing. Last year, I produced my first 360 Virtual Reality video about the poems at Angel Island Immigration Station. Currently, I’m working with a creative team consisting of an illustrator, motion graphics specialist, shooter and editor to write and produce profiles that engage 4th graders on field trips to the California Museum in Sacramento. I accepted this fun challenge. I’m also developing a multi-media project entitled “Shirley’s Hope(s) Chest” for 2020. I’m pleased to say my documentaries continue to be used in classrooms across the country.
