I grew up in S. Korea and live in California US. A deep and profound sensitivity of Eastern Asian Arts and dynamic, sensuous and significance splendor in Western Arts always have impressed me. My paints have many various lines and transparent shapes, which can be often found in Eastern Asian ink wash paintings, and sophisticated human senses and emotions that stands out in European Symbolism. Various and scattered, intentional and unintentional lines formed shapes and colors transformed in a silhouettes of human body parts and postures. It brings contemporary, complicated, and yet undefined human feelings, senses and emotions from consciousness and sub-consciousness. I hope my paintings give viewers a comfort and peaceful mind with feeling of ease and rest.
