Bio
Kelly Freedman is a visual artist living and based in San Francisco, working in the mediums of photography and mixed media. Born in Beijing and emigrating to the U.S. as a child, she has returned to China on numerous occasions to travel and photograph, documenting rural life in the Chinese countryside. Now, working in mixed media, her work has been published in China Daily News, Time Out Beijing, SFWeekly and SF Examiner. She is the recipient of the Barbara Stewart Photographic Award and the Barbara Deming Grant for the Visual Arts.
