I am a Bay Area internationally known award-winning artist originally from New York City. As a diaspora artist I try to capture the voice of diaspora women, social issues and science using traditional and digital brushes in diverse media following street, folk, and South Asian art forms. I believe we, the diaspora women play critical roles in sustaining the US economic and cultural infrastructures but are not usually visible in the eyes of the mainstream media. My art site, promotes the voice of the invisible women using arts and storytelling based on the fact as JFK stated, 'art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth.' In 2015 I have become a full time artist and creative writer after spending many years as a physicist and high-tech professional. I received my Ph.D. in Physics from Yale University and had taken art courses at Stanford University, Yale University, and the Bangladesh Arts Institute. Accomplishments as an artist include: Solo Art Exhibits (2017, 2018) – Redwood City, City of Palo Alto, San Jose Humanist Community Featured Artist (2018) – Redwood City (California) Third Prize (2016) – Kolkata Artist Group (India) Gold Certificates (2019, 2018, 2017)– Artists of the Four Seasons Gallery (Germany) Special Recognitions (2019, 2018, 2016) – Light Space & Time (LST) Gallery (USA) Art Exhibit (2016)– Greenpoint Brooklyn Art Gallery (New York) Painted two murals in Harlem, NYC (2016)
